Legend for the Orinoco Iron Plant The Orinoco Iron plant will include two independent modules, each of which will have two reduction reactor trains. These trains also have four separate reactors each. Using long-term contracts, Orinoco Iron will sell to a limited number of large buyers from the US and Europe, most of its projected annual production of 2.6 million tons in a combined way: 2,200,000 from the new plant and 400,000 MT from Operaciones RDI. The main inputs of raw material and energy for the plant will be provided through contracts with suppliers that currently service the Venprecar and RDI plants.
